RAMC Project

This was a long term onsite project at The Wellcome Library, London. We were tasked with digitising a very wide variety of archive materials, including monographs and manuscripts, bound and loose material,  photographic collections of print/film/glass slides, ephemera, stamps, maps, newspapers and 3D objects.

We installed a range of equipment, from overhead capture systems to cradle devices, so that all eventualities were catered for.

We created a networked in-house studio and strived to work to the same standards that Wellcome’s own team had achieved in the previous few years. This required many intricate methods of capture and indexation, so as to keep continuity of appearance and quality across their considerable digital assets. Over the course of 2.5 years, we created 950,000 images with our team of 2-3 experienced staff members, and these were 100% quality controlled in-house, resulting in a 100% acceptance rate.
